About Gridiron

The Gridiron was built on friendship, forged through the grind of fall training camp for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. From the moment Quincy, Xavier, and  Wayne met on that first grueling day, they knew they had something special—both on and off the field.”

That bond carried them through years as multi-year starters for the Irish, leaving their mark in some of the program’s most unforgettable moments.  Together, they played in the first-ever College Football Playoff game at Notre Dame, taking down Indiana in one of the most electric nights ever seen in “The House That Rockne Built.” That unforgettable season ended on the biggest stage—facing Ohio State for a National Championship.

Their passion for Notre Dame football and the Fighting Irish community didn’t end on the field. They created The Gridiron as a place where families, fans, and alumni could come together, relive the magic, and feel connected to the team. Located within walking distance of campus, the property is designed for both comfort and celebration—with over 3,000 sq. ft. of space and a half-acre lot, giving guests plenty of room to bring the tailgate home.

Whether you’re here for a football weekend, basketball game, Junior Parents Weekend, or graduation, we hope The Gridiron feels like your home away from home—where every stay is a celebration of Irish tradition.

Welcome to The Gridiron. Welcome to Notre Dame. ☘🏈
